Cricket’s SunBird

Friends are always asking me to draw things for them and once in a blue moon I’ll oblige. There isn’t much rhyme or reason to what gets me to agree to do something like this for someone. Mostly it’s if the bug bites me. This time one of my  closest friends, Cricket, asked me to illustrate a Pheonix for him modeled after the one described in the short story “Sun Bird”. It helped that he read me the story aloud. I do love being read to. And when you do something I really really like, chances are that I’ll return the favor.
